Assalamualaikum & Welcome to my personal website.

This site is my 'virtual notebook' to record simple notes on issues relating to ICT.

"Internet is not only about technology but it is also about the mechanism of how the technology is being used, shared, and spread to promote the betterment of inter-networking for the benefits of all".

Backup your email!

posted Apr 8, 2010, 8:40 PM by Alias Mohd   [ updated Apr 8, 2010, 8:52 PM ]

Our emails are on the 'Google Apps cloud' which is a web-based service and without internet connection we can't access the emails. Also if Google goes bankrupt (hmm...) the emails will be all gone. It is therefore a good practice to 'download' or backup all our email to our own computers/laptops.

The procedure to backup the email @fke.utm.my using your POP email client.
